Don't Let Them Tell You:
- There are only certain times that you can schedule child study team meetings; the school is obligated to find a time that can work for the school and the parents
- There are only certain programs and placements from which to choose; the federal law specifically requires that the school create a program that is appropriate for the child if one does not already exist
- Since a child's grades are adequate, there can be no problem
- Errors, poor scores are just mishaps, the child really knows it; variability in performance is an important indicator that the child may not fully understand and that there may be specific contextual supports that s/he relies on.
